FACE-IT Scenario Workshop in Longyearbyen, Svalbard

On 25 October 2022, FACE-IT in collaboration with the BalancingAct project (funded by the Research Council of Norway), will be hosting a scenario workshop in Longyearbyen, Svalbard. Stakeholders of the tourism industry in Svalbard will explore the changes that will shape the life in around Isfjorden and other destinasjon in Svalbard de next 20-30 years.
The Longyearbyen workshop is the second of three FACE-IT scenario workshops to involve local actors in the co-production of knowledge about the future of Arctic fjords, where the other two workshops will focus on Porsanger and Svalbard. In charge of the workshops across cases is Annika E. Nilsson (Nordland Research Institute). The Longyearbyen workshop co-hosted by Grete K. Hovelsrud, (Nordland Research Institute) and Janne Søreide (UNIS).
