Our role in the project
Aarhus University has a strong background in research on ecosystem functioning in coastal zones of Greenland, and is, consequently, directing the FACE-IT research on ecosystem function changes. The research conducted by Aarhus University on changes in Arctic coastal vegetation and sea-ice biota are of crucial significance to the overall objective of FACE-IT. Thus, Aarhus University will provide essential information on ecosystem functioning to the research areas addressing the human dimension, i.e., with respect to fisheries, hunting and tourism as well as the transdisciplinary synthesis.
