Nordland Research Institute

The social sciences in FACE-IT will largely be coordinated by the Nordland Research Institute (Nordlandsforskning), which will also be responsible for leading the transdisciplinary synthesis, and co-leading the research area of food provision and livelihoods as well as the policy dialogue. The Nordland Research Institute will also control the bi-directional flow of data between the different research areas of FACE-IT and their implementation into the transdisciplinary synthesis work and the policy dialogue. In close collaboration with the Nordland Research Institute, the University of Aalborg is responsible for organizing the research conducted on food provision and livelihoods. Furthermore, the Nordland Research Institute works closely with the Western Norway Research Institute on the research conducted on nature-based tourism.
