Our role in the project
The Laboratoire d’Océanographie de Villefranche of Sorbonne Université – CNRS has vast experience in data analyses within large scale research consortia. Thus, it plays a vital role in FACE-IT and will coordinate the research conducted on the key drivers of change. In order such drivers of change, all available data from inside and outside the consortium will be collected to provide the base for the other research areas of FACE-IT to build upon. Hence, the FACE-IT data scientist is affiliated with the Laboratoire d’Océanographie de Villefranche and is also in charge for general data management. Furthermore, the Laboratoire d’Océanographie coordinates the joint perturbation experiment in Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard.
